Whisper is a self insert character, she is meant to be a playable character in Don't Starve and be one of the playable characters in Don't Starve Together (DST). She was created in April 30, 2021. She is a mexican pianist and Wilson's wife. She enjoys puns and bringing light to everyone's lives.

Origin

“I can give you your spark back.”

If she were to have one, her entry in DST’s Compendium would read something like this:

Once a successful pianist, Whisper was used to playing piano at all high class events around the country. She was lauded and complimented, both on her music and personality, by everyone who had the pleasure to meet her. Then, seemingly overnight, her spark disappeared. Despite her best efforts, Whisper couldn't get herself to play anymore in front of audiences and she retreated away from the world, never touching her grand piano again. That is, until a mysterious voice offered her a deal she couldn't refuse.

No one ever saw her newly regained spark. Not in this world, at least.

Special Power

Whisper's special power is that her hair can glow in the dark. At Dusk, Night and when in Caves her hair will begin glowing, the light of her hair has a similar radius to that of a Miner Hat. Whisper is overall meant to facilitate caves exploration, as well as make nights more productive.

Darkness still causes its usual Sanity decrease.

Disadvantage

Because her hair is the source of light, wearing any article of clothing in the head slot will remove this advantage. The only known exceptions are rabbit earmuffs and garlands.
