The Weaver is a self insert character for the *Don't Starve* franchise created by Klei Entertainment and is supposed be one of the playable characters in Don't Starve Together (DST). He was created on June 7th, 2021. He is a Russian tailor, formerly a scientist called a world-ologist, transformed by celestial powers after being tricked into the Constant looking for his brother, The Lodger, the protagonist of the indie horror game Knock Knock by Ice Pick Lodge. He is the QPP to Willow and the husband of Wiley. His best friends are **Wiverna**, Waylon and Whisper.

One thing had stayed the same after he had lost his memory: his heart. His love for others and hardworking nature had been an integral part of who he was even as he and his brother sat rotting away within the boarded up walls and windows of their empty family home. An heirloom to nothing, the house was given to them by their departed father as a continuation of their family profession: world-ology. Surveying the world around them day by day as it lay unaffected by civilization, collecting the data, and passing it on to the next generation in hopes the knowledge would one day benefit mankind. But as the house deteriorated, so did they. His brother became ill, frail, and his mind was beginning to slip. To make matters worse, something was trying to burrow it’s way into their home. Unknown voices, footsteps, and things where they shouldn’t be. So he bid his brother farewell in a desperate attempt to seek help but upon his return from failure, he found nothing but an empty house and an old, tipped over radio. Here, he began his search into the unknown. One that would lead him onto a path he would never return from.
Weaver’s special ability is his power to harness moonlight due to his mutation by Them upon entry to the Constant. Weaver is able to take on a Gestalt form that renders him incapable of using normal armor and weapons while giving him upgraded mobility and strength. He is able to channel powerful spells, call down moonlight pillars (akin to that of the Celestial Champion), and expend hunger in order to dash to nearby areas. He will naturally drain hunger in this state and upon depletion will be returned to normal and start taking damage. He is unable to be damaged in his Gestalt state but each successful attack on him drains his hunger. Weaver is able to put any player or creature he touches to sleep when channeling his powers at the cost of some sanity. This does not work on The Lodger or Wickerbottom.
